Did you know a long time ago penguin ancestors stood over eight feet tall? Today the average penguin is around three to four feet. In fact, there are many species of penguins. And none of them are over 4 feet tall. They are also are a type of bird, enough though they may not a look like one. Penguins are birds with interesting yet difficult lives and have to withstand cold temperatures. In my speech you will hear many stories and facts about penguins.
There are over 18 species of penguins. The two largest species of penguins are the Emperor an Adeile penguins. You would think there would be less than 18 species of penguins, because they have been experiencing Global Warming, which is causing the glaciers to melt. But that has not stopped their population from growing. Penguins have also known to live in different parts of the Arctic, living with their species. For example, you would not see Adeiles and Emperor penguins living together. This shows that the penguins are a larg
